credit card interest calculator showing monthly and daily APR interest

Credit Card Interest Calculator – Free Online Tool

Geometric Mean Calculator

Compute the geometric mean for a list of positive numbers. Supports weighted geometric mean, percentage-to-factor mode (for growth rates), shows calculation steps and compares with the arithmetic mean and geometric standard deviation.

(provide same-length list)
How it works

Unweighted geometric mean for n positive values xᵢ: GM = (Π xᵢ)^(1/n) = exp( (1/n) Σ ln xᵢ ).

Weighted geometric mean with positive weights wᵢ: GM = exp( (Σ wᵢ ln xᵢ) / Σ wᵢ ).

Percent mode converts percent changes into multiplicative factors: e.g. +10% → 1.10, −5% → 0.95 before computing GM. Geometric standard deviation (GSD) is shown as GSD = exp( sqrt( Σ (ln xᵢ − ln GM)² / n ) ) (or weighted variant).

The geometric mean is only defined for strictly positive values (or positive factors in percent mode).

What Is a Credit Card Interest Calculator?

Credit card interest calculator helps you estimate how much interest you’ll pay on your credit card balance based on the APR. It can calculate interest daily, monthly, or for a single billing cycle.

This tool is especially useful if you want to:

  • Understand daily APR charges
  • Estimate monthly credit card interest
  • See how minimum payments affect payoff
  • Plan faster debt repayment

How Credit Card Interest Is Calculated

Most credit card issuers use a daily periodic rate, calculated as:

Daily Interest Rate = APR ÷ 365

Your daily interest is added to the balance, which compounds over time if unpaid.

What This Calculator Can Do

  • Calculate daily credit card interest
  • Estimate monthly interest charges
  • Show impact of minimum payments
  • Help plan credit card payoff
  • Works for any APR or balance

Why Use an Online Credit Card Interest Calculator?

Using an online credit card interest calculator gives you instant clarity on how interest grows. It’s faster than spreadsheets and more accurate than manual estimates.

FAQ

How does a credit card interest calculator work?

It uses your APR and balance to estimate how much interest accrues daily or monthly.

Is credit card interest calculated daily?

Yes, most credit cards calculate interest daily using a daily periodic rate.

Can I calculate monthly credit card interest?

Yes. Monthly interest is estimated by applying the APR to your average daily balance.

Does this calculator include minimum payment impact?

Yes. It helps you understand how minimum payments increase total interest paid.
